Fritzenberger

From it’s prominent corner on the busy Caxton Street strip, Fritzenberger; the latest addition from the team who brought us Harajuku Gyoza and Nitrogenie; serves up a triple threat of Frites, Burgers and Beer.

The industrial-chic styled fitout has reinvigorated the history-laden 130 year old building that Casablanca’s called home for over 20 years and was once a butcher’s shop. Behind the central bar, the large silver tanks of the small-batch brewery system are a commanding feature, especially when paired with the minimal colour palette of green, exposed original brick walls (sandblasted to remove 80 plus years of paint & render), polished timber floors and the rivet-studded bar.

A line-up of historic world characters – think Queen Elizabeth II, Lauren Bacall, Mona Lisa and JFK, all with the signature Fritzenberger moustache adorn the original brick walls near the open kitchen. The mustache is also carried through to the neon signage.
