The Roosevelt Lounge

Closing out the outside world and creating the effect of escapism and exclusivity imagined by the client, The Roosevelt Lounge is only accessible by the ring of a bell to draw the attention of your maitre d, eagerly awaiting your arrival. The Roosevelt Lounge, named after the President who ended prohibition, definitely embodies the idea of upper class 1930’s wealth, appealing to the strictly sophisticated and well-healed over thirties crowd who appreciate fine food, bespoke cocktails and dance worthy beats.

Antique mirror archways are carved into mahogany-stained Tasmanian Oak wall panels featuring solid timber beading. Plush leather booths line the walls including the raised red velvet Roosevelt Presidential booth, illuminated by golden candelabras with real candles flickering, golden chandeliers and subtle background lighting. Vintage books with worn spines are neatly fitted into the custom-made timber bookcases and a replica President Roosevelt statue is prominently placed.

Solid but intricate gold frames encase classic Hollywood beauties and behind the polished marble bar in a three-tier illuminated display, the bottles themselves steal the show. With hints of the Great Gatsby in the decoration and the copper pressed metal ceiling detail, the fitout of this American-inspired speak-easy style bar surpasses anything of its kind.
